Privacy Policy
How Huntly handles your personal data.
Last updated 12 August 2026. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you keep over it.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and authentication details.
- Career information you provide: your CV, work history, skills and job preferences.
- Product activity: the roles you view, save and apply to, and the documents Huntly prepares for you.
- Technical data: device and log information needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
We use your information to match you with roles, score how closely your experience fits a listing, prepare application documents for your review, keep your application history, provide support and keep the service secure.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your profile with employers, recruiters or advertisers as a sales lead. Applications reach an employer only when you approve them.
Service providers
We use a small number of processors for hosting, storage, authentication, payments and AI processing. They act on our instructions and only for the purposes described here.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account, or download a copy of your data, from Your data in your account settings.
Deleting your account removes your live Huntly data — your profile, CVs, saved roles, matches, applications, generated documents and preferences — together with the files you uploaded. It runs after a short grace period during which you can cancel, and it cannot be reversed once it has run. We keep a security record that the deletion happened, and otherwise we retain only what is genuinely required for security, accounting or legal reasons.
Our operational backups are separate from your live data. They are encrypted, they are not used to run Huntly or to answer anything in the product, and each one ages out on its own rotation; a small number taken before a system change are held outside that rotation so we can recover from one. Deleting your account does not reach backups that were already taken. What it does is remove your data from the running service; the backups that still contain it age out on their own schedule, and we will not tell you otherwise.
If you would rather not do it yourself, or your account signs in with Google and has no password for us to re-check, write to privacy@huntlyagent.com and we will action the request directly.
Your choices
- Download a copy of the data Huntly holds about you.
- Correct information in your profile at any time.
- Delete your account and its data.
- Ask us questions about how your data is handled.
The first and third are available from Your data in your account settings, and by email if you prefer. The export is a ZIP of your account data as structured JSON plus your original files; it deliberately excludes authentication secrets — passwords, session tokens and any job-board credentials you stored — and our internal security log.
