FAQ
Questions people ask before they start.
Short, direct answers about what Huntly does today. If something here is unclear, the Help Center goes into more detail.
Getting started
- What does Huntly actually do?
- Huntly imports your CV and preferences, finds roles that match them, scores how well your experience lines up, and prepares tailored application documents for you to review.
- Do I need a finished CV to begin?
- No. You can start with whatever you have. Huntly reads what is there and highlights the gaps worth filling before you apply anywhere.
- How long does setup take?
- Uploading a CV and setting your first search usually takes a few minutes. Refining preferences after you see your first matches is where most of the value comes from.
Matching and verdicts
- What is a match verdict?
- One of three readings — worth applying, worth a look, probably skip — of the overlap between the evidence in your profile and what a listing asks for. It comes with the lines of the posting behind it. It helps you decide what to read first; it is not a prediction of whether you will be hired.
- Does Huntly give a role a percentage or a score out of ten?
- No. There is no number to show you. A percentage would imply a precision the matching does not have, so Huntly shows the verdict and the evidence and lets you weigh it.
- Why did a role I like come back as probably skip?
- Usually because the listing asks for something your profile does not yet show. Huntly names what it could not evidence, so you can see exactly what is missing — and if you can explain the gap credibly, apply anyway.
Applications
- Does Huntly apply to jobs without asking me?
- No, and it does not apply to jobs after asking either. Huntly prepares the materials and hands them to you; you submit the application yourself on the employer's site. There is no automatic submission on any plan.
- Can I edit the drafts?
- Yes. Drafts open in an editor so you can change wording, tone and emphasis before you send anything.
Account, privacy and billing
- Is my search visible to my current employer?
- No. Your activity stays private to your account and Huntly does not publish a profile or an open-to-work signal.
- Can I delete my data?
- Yes, from your account. Settings → Your data lets you download everything Huntly holds about you as a single archive, or delete your account outright.
- How much does Huntly cost?
- Free is $0. Pro is shown as $25 for one 30-day period and adds Assisted Apply, tailored CV and cover-letter drafts, downloadable materials and application tracking. Nothing renews: nothing is charged again when the period ends. Ultra is arranged with us directly rather than bought online. The charge itself is made in Nigerian naira, as a fixed amount, and no exchange rate is used at any point on our side; your billing page shows whether checkout is open on your account, and it is the only place a payment can start.
